Creating Pcitures Using Angles
I didn’t manage to get round and get a photo of everyone yesterday will try again when we finish them but we are getting a lot more confident at using protractors and are becoming more familiar with different types of angles.
Share with someone at home what types of angles you know and what you had to do to create your picture. We will have another go at this to create both obtuse and acute angles.
Basic Facts Practise
Here are some links to games that you can do at home to practise basic facts.
Basic facts are really important to develop our knowledge of install recall of number facts. The more we practise the quicker we become.
The children know what one they are working on and the title will correspond to the number they are on. Supporting them would be greatly appreciated 🙂
This Week!
First week back has been a busy one. We have started off the year in a great way, lots of positive attitudes, lots of keen learners and lots of helpful and kind children.
This is the learning that will be covered this term- we have 11 weeks left so a big term to make lots of improvements and progress in our learning. It’s you against you!
Primary 5 Termly Overview Term 3
We started Feis Rois this week which was exciting. Another 8 weeks to go and lots of fun to be had.
Hopefully we are all working on our long and short term goals, evidence to be added during profile time on Monday :).
Spelling was a success across the board this week, lots more of us getting all our words correct. There may be some reshuffling of groups in the next couple of weeks after doing our spelling assessment yesterday.
Things to remember-
Silent Reader (everyday)
Green book (everyday)
Water bottles (everyday)
Indoor shoes (everyday)
PE kit (wear to school on Tuesday, bring to school on Thursday)
Have a lovely weekend when it comes!

Bee your best self!

Last Friday of the month is Diversity Day.
This month the children can wear yellow/blackand help us make a beeally long conga! A donation towards the Hospice would be much appreciated on the day.
Thank you!
Bine ati venit
Today, we welcomed a new member to our class. He has come from Romania and is new to English. I am very impressed with how well we have welcomed him and I think what would be really nice if over the next few days we can try and learn some simple words and phrases in Romanian at home as well as in school to help him feel more at ease. It’s not easy to join a class part way through the year and even more so when English is not your first language.

2020!
Term 3 has officially begun…
Today we spent the morning talking about our holidays and then setting some short term (4 weeks) and long term goals (12 week) both in school and at home. We also thought about something we want to do more of and something we want to do less of. We are going to be reviewing these weekly, this will be evidenced in our profiles so please discuss with your child what their goals are and support them at home to try and achieve them. These can be uploaded onto profiles at home too if it is pictures of things they are doing and we will be showing evidence of how we are working towards our goals in school too.
We then spent the afternoon creating a book/comic of what we did in the holidays. These can also be worked on at home too and you can have a look at what they have done so far at the same time and maybe even jog some memories.
PE is first thing tomorrow, so please come dressed for this and remember to bring indoor shoes back too.
Movie Madness
After the fun of the Church service, we will be having a movie and snacks together (if you want to bring in some more then feel free, we didn’t have enough to use at the party so will be using them tomorrow) Should you wish to take in some of your own festive clothes to change into or something comfy like pjs then feel free. We have had a really good term and we deserve a little treat. I can’t quite believe it’s the end of term but in other ways I can! See you all tomorrow for the last day of 2019!
